Surfs Up: The next wave is around the corner…

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

It has been a great 3 months since the availability of release 2 of our first 5 products. There has been an increasing demand for Audio versions of our products from the Media and Telecom companies. And we are upto the challenge.

The team has been working hard at trying to get the the Radio and Jukebox products out. You should find them available for download very soon. Give us another 6-8 weeks. The two products will contain suitable audio features to enable free large scale podcasts and radio stations.

Also there has been an influx of customer emails asking for a powerful messenger with collaborative features and large scale multimedia features. And we have been doing just that in our labs. But it has taken more time than we had anticipated. We will put up a messenger for download that will be simple and has more Horse Power than land movers. We have tried to make one that Corporates/Organisations can adopt and do away with expensive inhouse and commercial solutions. And one which can be also be used on the internet to collaborate with friends, aquaintences or even co-passengers at the airport lounge.

Our version 1 releases are usually in private corporate circles. Version 2 releases are public and version 3 releases are the ones in which we incorporate major collaborative features. We just want to make sure that we get the right things out. If you have noticed our UI’s are over simplified for our end users. Thats a concious effort to keep things simple as much as possible without compromising on horse power.

Apart from the 3 new products you can expect better packaging and Out Of The Box Experience. We are working with strategic partners to improve the Setup packaging, reduce sizes, test on more and more systems before we release the next set of installers. You can expect smoother install’s and almost 30-50% reduction in setup package size’s. And we will remove complex dependencies and OS quirks that popup sometimes during installation or operation.
